Vision Church is committed to protecting your privacy. We aim to ensure that all information you give to us is held securely. In legal terms Vision Church is the controller of the personal data you have provided to us. This statement explains what personal information we collect from you, how we collect it and what we use it for.

What personal information do we collect?

We collect information about you when you interact with Vision Church online by submitting an enquiry, ask to stay in touch with us via our Get Connected or Response cards, access one of our services (e.g. Vision Kids). We also collect information about you when you register for an event, ask for further information, complete one of our online contact forms or a profile on our church management software, give financially to the charity or sign up to our mailing list. Further information may be collected in the form of photos or videos taken at one of our events or services. We will only collected data which is relevant to the purpose for which you have given it.

The information we process about you may include:

IP ADDRESS NAME PHYSICAL ADDRESS, EMAIL ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, YOUR MARITAL STATUS, AGE, GENDER AND INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY GENDER, OCCUPATION, LOCATION, DATE OF BIRTH, YOUR ATTENDANCE AT EVENTS AND MEETINGS RUN OR HOSTED BY US INFORMATION THAT YOU SHARE WITH US FOR THE PURPOSES OF PASTORAL CARE, ENCOURAGEMENT, TRAINING AND PRAYER MEDICAL INFORMATION WHERE NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT THE CARE AND HOSPITALITY THAT WE PROVIDE FOR YOU IS APPROPRIATE TO YOUR NEEDS

How will we use it?

We collect this information to enable us to:

RESPOND TO YOUR ENQUIRY STAY IN TOUCH WITH YOU MANAGE A BOOKING THAT YOU HAVE MADE PROVIDE AND KEEP YOU INFORMED OF EVENTS AND SERVICES THAT MAY BE OF INTEREST TO YOU MAINTAIN OUR DATABASE OF CHURCH MEMBERS AND ATTENDERS MAINTAIN OUR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS AND RECORDS PROCESS YOUR GIVING PROVIDE YOU WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INVOLVED IN SERVING TEAMS WITHIN THE CHURCH PROVIDE PASTORAL SUPPORT, INCLUDING CALLS AND VISITS, AS APPROPRIATE MANAGE SERVICES, CLASSES, SMALL GROUPS AND MINISTRY ACTIVITIES THAT YOU ARE INVOLVED IN OR WOULD LIKE TO BE INVOLVED IN ORGANISE AND ADMINISTRATE EVENTS, CONFERENCES, MINISTRIES AND OPERATIONS IMPROVE OUR COMMUNICATIONS THROUGH FEEDBACK CARRY OUT SERVICES SUCH AS TROUBLESHOOTING, DATA ANALYSIS AND RESEARCH COMPLY WITH LEGAL OBLIGATIONS PHOTOS AND VIDEOS MAY BE USED AS PART OF OUR SOCIAL MEDIA, WEB AND MARKETING CAMPAIGNS.

Data Protection legislation allows us to process this information through your consent and our legitimate interests.

The law also allows us to hold and process the personal information of church members and those connected with us if it is in our legitimate interests to do so. We consider that this is the most appropriate condition for us to administer membership or contact as it is necessary for us to process your personal information in order to provide you with membership services or regular contact.

Relying on our legitimate interests means that we will check that we will not cause you harm by using your personal information, that we will not use your information in an overly intrusive way and that we will only use it in the way described in this notice.

Vision Church does not transfer data internationally, apart from when we use Mailchimp (for sending emails www.mailchimp.com). Mailchimp is based in the United States and is covered by the Privacy Shield, a framework for transplanted exchanges of personal data for commercial purposes between the European Union and the United States.

We only enter into relationships with third parties who have appropriate data protection policies and procedures in place. All data held by third parties is destroyed when it is no longer needed.

Cookies

Where is your personal information stored?

Vision Church takes the security of your data seriously. Vision Church has internal policies and controls in place to try to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by Vision Church Volunteers in the performance of their duties.

Where Vision Church engages third parties to process personal data on its behalf, Vision Church do so on the basis of written instructions, are under a duty of confidentiality and are obliged to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of data.

How long do we keep your information?

Vision Church will hold your personal data for the length that it is required to provide you with our membership services.We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to maintain that relationship. We may be required to retain some of your data after this time, for a set period, for us to meet our legal obligations. When we no longer need the information, we will dispose of it securely, using specialist companies to do this work for us if necessary.
