It all began in January this year, when God asked me to rise up in a new way to be a leader.
Many years ago God had spoken to me about being a leader, but I struggled to believe I could ever be one. I was so full of fear, lacking identity and didn’t believe in myself.
Over the past 15 years God has done a miracle in my life. He has brought healing to my heart, renewed my mind and changed me so much that you would not recognise me had you known me previously.
I learned to realise that I could not see the healing or the change I desired in my life through my own strength. It is only through the power of what Jesus has done on the cross can I be completely transformed.
God has given me a boldness, a freedom, a joy and an acceptance in who he has made me to be. He has created me to have a voice, but at the same time to be a wife, a mother, a daughter, a disciple and a leader.
I thought I was failing at all these roles but I have learned that through God we can do the impossible. Today God wants to do the same for you.
As I described my life in the past, I know there are so many other women, who like me have felt lost, lonely, full of fear, lacking identity, without hope and trapped in a place they don’t want to be.
I have found that the answer to all these issues is found in Jesus and I will share some of the lessons I have learnt in the coming weeks.
Back to January… I knew God wanted to do something special with the women in Leeds. So in response to the calling of God, on June 9th this year, along with my incredible team of women, I put on an event called ‘Bloom’.
The purpose of ‘Bloom’ was to reach out and help other women to believe God has an incredible hope and future for each one of them.
It was beautiful to see so many women come along, many for the first time, and encounter God’s transforming love. I am in awe of God’s goodness and grace.
Coming from a woman who never believed she could do anything significant, please know and believe, that no matter what your circumstances are right now, YOU are called to bloom and flourish. What God has made available to me is also available to each women who would take hold of the promise.
God has the most incredible future for your life!
