We are a thriving, multi ethnic and multi-generational church based in Leeds and Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.

Our passion is to see the transformation of lives both locally in our region and globally across the world.

We believe church should be the most powerful and life changing community where every person can encounter God, connect into family and be envisioned and trained to change the world, one life at a time.

LEADERSHIP

After a life changing encounter with God as a teenager, Ian faithfully served at his local church in Bradford for many years before being commissioned to pioneer Vision Church (Originally know as 'New Horizons Church, Dewsbury') in 1993. Since that time he has courageously led the church through many season of growth change and transformation. Ian is a visionary leader and true spiritual father to the next generation. He has devoted his life to passionately pursuing the presence of God and expanding His kingdom through the raising up and forming of disciples and leaders

In 1993 alongside her husband Ian, Julie plated what was New horizons Church, Dewsbury (now 'Vision Church'). They started out in their very own living room, faithfully serving the needs of the local community, loving the broken and reaching out to those in need. However it wasn't until 2001 after a life changing encounter with God that Julie joined her husband in full time ministry. Since then it has been Julie's passion to raise up disciples and build the kingdom of God. With a mother's heart and courageous spirit she is devoted to seeing the church empowered, healed, equipped and set free from fear.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE IN

One God who lives eternally in three persons – the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.

The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written Word of God – fully trustworthy for faith and life. The dignity of all people, made male and female in God’s image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgement. The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ – born of the virgin Mary, truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.

The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross; dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.

The bodily resurrection of Christ, his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Savour of the world. The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ. The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth, empowers our discipleship, enables our witness and carries out signs, wonders and miracles as the normal Christian life.

The church, the body of Christ both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers – given life by the Spirit and empowered with the Holy Spirit’s gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love. The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
